This ritual will delight all 5 of your senses further anchoring this beautiful experience throughout your brain and being.
The intertwining of two souls in marriage is the highest sacred contract that can be entered into between two people. This level of union solidifies a commitment that spans beyond all circumstances of life including all its peaks and valleys.
Two become one in their strength, creative focus and their ability to magnetize abundant experience and to love, hold, protect, embrace and cherish each other beyond all and anyone else.
The wedding is a ceremonial representation of this commitment, marked in time for both of you and all of your loved ones to behold, solidifying your vows with one another.
This ritual is just for the two of you to share, to seal and sanctify your bond with one another, intimately.
The 5 Senses Post Wedding Ritual:
Set aside 2-3 hours of time when you will not feel rushed or pulled to other tasks and events.
You will need:
Your favorite sensual aroma for anointing or an Adora Winquist Commemoration Formula
Pens and paper (parchment is a nice touch)
One white candle
Something sweet to eat (raspberries, chocolate etc)
Sea salt
Find a comfortable space, preferably outdoors, and sit facing one another. Light your candle and anoint each other’s forehead with your sacred oil, heart and navel reverently.
HEAR - as you are anointing each other, offer a sentiment to each other like this, “I bless you in love and hold your heart within mine.”
SMELL - Take a deep breath in of the oil while opening your heart more deeply to each other.
Then take a few minutes and jot down something from your heart to your beloved’s, perhaps some quality you are grateful for or something you would like to create in your future.
SIGHT - when you are done, speak your intentions while gazing deeply into each other's eyes, the gateway to the soul.
TOUCH - take a pinch of salt and leave on earth as a blessing and offering of gratitude.
TASTE - complete your ritual by tasting the sweet lips of your loved ones and other luscious treats.
